We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We had a very blessed day! We started our Christmas activities with the First Christian Church Christmas Eve service! We were a little late for service, so we sat in the balcony, in the very last row!! I believe we will arrive at church a little earlier next year! We then went to Northwest Christian Church for hot chocolate and cookies and then worshiped in the Christmas Eve service with Nene (Mary Ann). By this point in the evening we had accrued a great amount of snow and ice. The streets were a little bad and while heading out of Northwest my car slipped off the road. Yes we went into the ditch, and had to be pushed out. Natalie and Adam rolled down the back window and screamed for help and told me to call 911. We weren't in that much danger!! But it was serious to them. We were pushed out of the ditch by some very wonderful men and then my dear husband had to drive the car up the ice hill, because I tried and just burned rubber!! It smelled really bad! So we made it home safe and sound!! We wrapped presents, set out cookies and milk for Santa, and went to bed!
We woke in the morning to crumbs and an empty glass of milk at 6:40 am. I am very proud of this time! We then ran downstairs to see what Santa had brought for the little ones! To much suprise he brought Natalie and Adam a Mobigo Vtech game player, which they refer to as Leap Pods. A combination of a Leap Frog and IPOD! Or they will say the recieved a Nintendo DS.
Well whatever they call it we have grown to know what they are talking about! Travis recieved a Little People Nativity Set! The kids then opened gifts from Nene, Mom and Dad. The each got pj's. And a few other things! Our family gift from Nene was the Mario Cart game for our Wii. We have had a great time playing this!
We then just kinda hung out in the morning and then went out to lunch!! I know we are strange! We went to Fuji (a chinese restaurant where you watch them cook on the hibatchi grill). Nope we didn't have Duck and they didn't even sing us any Christmas Carols. I really wanted to hear Fra rah rah rah rah rah rah rah rah. But the food was fantastic. The kids enjoyed the show as well!
We pray you had a blessed holiday, and look forward to a wonderful year in 2011.
